The Law

Youth Access to Alcohol Act
This was passed in 2006 after two years of grassroots advocacy efforts by Oklahomans who care about the welfare of our youth and the accessibility of alcohol to underage Oklahomans. For the full text, click here (PDF 41K).

Social Host
Social Host Ordinances have passed in many municipalities across Oklahoma. With help from grassroots efforts, City Officials are gaining an understanding and knowledge of how this ordinance can assist with preventing underage drinking parties by holding the “host” of the party liable for allowing underage drinking to occur on their property. Compliance Checks
Compliance Checks are another “tool” for the law enforcement tool box. However, these very important enforcement efforts could not be done without two very important things: the law permitting them to do so and the young people under the age of 21 to help make it happen. For a full description of Compliance Check protocol, please check out the Compliance Checks section of the 2M2L website. O.S. Title 37 §605 and §246 gives law enforcement the authority to do compliance checks and the youth decoys the authority to assist law enforcement.
